LATE WEEK STORM OUTLOOKS/ MAY SNOW

WED 715 PM

The severe weather action will get under way Thursday afternoon. A surface low pressure will strengthen over Nebraska/Kansas tonight. Brings showers and some storms to the Western high plains tonight-Thursday. Rain showers and storms will shift into Eastern NE and SW IA by THUR morning. Some of these storms will produce heavy rains, gusty winds excessive of 50 MPH and some small hail. More widespread showers and storms will arrive Friday as the slow moving storm tracks into the Centeral plains. As this big storm keeps going on, It will be OK/KS/MO time to deal with the messy conditions. Where a severe wx outbreak is still certainty possible Thursday night-Friday morning. As a strong upper low storm system will move in with a dry line and an cold front thru the Eastern KS border line. The latest indications are the storm system will be a bit slower to arrive. AS an mix of warm, moist,un stabled air mass will exist ahead of the boundaries with instabillity and atmospheric that are very favorable for mastive strong severe storms. By thursday night the primary threat will be damaging strong wind gust and large hail.Expect a few tornadoes that some could be vioolent and long tracked at times. This storm will move well east and bring areas of AR,MO,IL,IN,OH WILL BUY IN ON STORMS. Heres my outlook'

WARM TEMPS/LATE WEEK STORM POTENTIAL

Highs will be in the 60's-70's for most of us. With tempatures of mid 55-low 60 will be occuring in the north east on Tuesday. The rain has cooled of most of the east coast. In the south its whole another story where temps will be a sizzlin' mid 60's-low 80's thru the week. Espc in Central TX where temps could even reach into the mid 80's by weekend. The West will be cooled off only into the 60's due to the rain showers and some snow showers also. Its very windy and dry so that will fire up the wildfires again. Here are the maps of temps for TUE-WED

MONDAY STORM UPDATE 1

This system is producing lots of rain for the East.It will continue throughout the night. A rumble of thunder or two will keep the heavy rains company. Reports of 1-3 inches of rain is coming in from Raleigh NC to NYC. Additional rainfall will upgrade the rainfall amounts and minor to moderate flooding is also possible. There is some dangerous severe weather that keeps occuring in most of SE VA. Tornado warnings have been issued in VA so if u r in the warned area please take cover quickly to save lifes. After these tornadic storms move out of the area it will hit Lower South PA
and will bring heavy downpours, hail, strong winds and isolated tornado. Rainfall amounts in that squall line of storms will be up to 2 inches an hour at times. In New England watch out for major flooding with heavy rains. 2-3 inches is very well likley with an isolated 4 inch amount areas. Flood watches/warnings have been issued there from tonight thru late Tuesday morning. I WILL HAVE ANOTHER UPDATE ON THIS STORM LATER TONIGHT SO PLEASE STAY TUNED AND BE SAFE.

TWO POSSIBLER LIFE THREATNING TORNADOES WERE SIGHTED IN FL TODAY. THE POSSIBLE BIG ONE IN OAK,FL DAMAGING SEVERAL CONDO HOMES AND FALLING TREES. ALSO THERE COULD HAVE BEEN DAMAGE FROM LARGE BASEBALL SIZED HAIL. THAT FRACTURED CAR WINDOWS AND WINDSHEILDS. FLORIDA STORMS ARE DANGEROUS TONIGHT ESPC OVER THE CENTRAL AND EASTERN PARTS. IF WARNINGS ARE ISSUED PLEASE TAKE IT SERIOUSLY AND TAKE COVER IMD!

The another part of this monday storm is a pretty wide batch of rain and storms heading into the MIDWEST AND OHIO VALLEY. These rain showers will provide some mesurable rainfall amounts. Perhaps isolated storms could develop and bring some lightning, wind gust up to 40mph and a small hail sized of peas. Watch out for some locally hazardous driving issues tonight. This will not be a big event but could find away to get an inch or so.

MONDAY OUTLOOK

330 PM

Another dogwood winter on its way as unseasonably cold air will be droping in from Canada. The Midwest will be greatly effected by this situation. If you have any plants or vegatation i would suggest that you bring it in and save from getting frozen. This late freeze could be very dangerous to all crops.

Monday the rain from the deep south will race to the North East and spread periods of rain and storms. It will be a moderate rain for the east coast. There will also be thunderstorms some that will be strong to severe in the afternoon espcially from NC TO CENTRAL PA. The primary threat of this storm will be heavy downpours damaging winds and possibly small hail sized of a pea. This will not be a huge severe outbreak nor will it be a huge flooding threat. Although the drought areas could pick up 2 inches. The heaviest rainfall will be from Pittsburgh to Boston. With a secondary low forming north of the DEL,VA BORDER bbut as right now it seems like it will be weaker than expected. That could be downgrading rainfall amounts. Here are my outlooks for this storm. SEVERE WEATHER FIRST THEN RAINFALL AMONUNTS UNDER! CHECK BACK FOR UPDATED WEATHER FORECAST.

SUNDAY FORECAST

It will be rather a soggy, wet, and damp day. There will be several rounds of heavy rains and storms that could be severe at times. Also a good soaker will hit the rain needed drought areas and amount 1-2 inches of rain. Here is my sunday severe weather outlook map-

Wild weather week recaps

After a few days without an nternet I am back to give u my recap of this past week in weather! Even though i didnt have the computer working i was still watchnig the weather channel so here we go!

TUESDAY- A crazy week in severe weather started Tuesday when over 130 reports were sent in by storm chasers and spotters. Including a large hail threat and damaging winds of 60-80 MPH occured in 6 diffrent states and it caused some damage in buildings. Thankfully there was no tornadoes sighted. This was much of an surprise storm that produced lots of hail that added up to 4 inhces in diamter in some hail cores. It was an hail outbreak for much of Missouri,Arkansas and East Illinois thats where most of the damaged frequently occured.

Wednesday- A bitter day in weather forecasting. A amazing 282 severe weather reports came crashing in to the NWS. This was a solid dangerous squall line that came through and ripped the midwest with 210 hail,56 wind damage reports and an surging 16 tornadoes were spotted. Texas got hit the most were very heavy hail cores and over 10 tornadoes erupted. Largest an EF2 was over a small county that caused a whole lo of damage but thnakfully no one was hurt.

Thursday- Bits of the storm lost alot of moisture and confidence but still had enough left in the tank to issued more damage in several states. Another 104 reports were observed by spotters and trained chasers. 10 tornadoes were reported in the IA/KS/NE STATE LINES. In the county of Mitchell,KS there was a coned shape tornado of a half mile wide came through causing a couple of power flashes were visable and a out going was damaged.

Friday-Powerful storms again erupted and caused more damaging winds, grape fruit sized hail and more violent tornadoes. Over 140 rports came in again with Wisconsin getting smashed with severe weather. Most of the state picked up a 2-3 inch rainfall, large hail some damaging wind gust and multiple tornadoes in a solid strong squall line. Chicago also got some strong weather when the major league baseball game btween the Baltimore Orioles and the Chicago Whitesox were postponed and will play a double header on Saturday.

Saturday- rain will continue to fall during the day in the south where some rumbles of thunder will keep the rain company. There are no real severe weather out there right now as of this writing but when the cold front arrives in OK/AR border it will trigger up some more chances of erupting storm storms and heavy rain. Expect the radar to lighten up with strong red cells and severe wx later this afternoon into tonight. Even some thunderstorms will develop in WV/PA/NY STATE later 0n by tonight. Some could produce heavy downpours, strong winds and slight chance of pea sized hail. A new system will bring more downpours later in the day for the west and mdiwest.

Sunday- rain and storms will be in the South again. Some which could be severe at times later in the day. However do not expect a very widespread damaging storm threats. Rinfall should be about two inches possible before moving east and out of the deep south. As the next wave comes in there will be a big broad of rain. Good news of this is that the dry drought areas will get a inch + of rain

Monday- Soggy start to the week in the Midwest anD Northeast. It will be an soaker for most of the East coast. A much needed rainfall for the 1-95 CORD is expected. there is a chance of more storms across the MID-ATLANTIC. 1-2 INCHES IS LIKLEY AND MINOR FLOODING COULD OCCUR IN SMALL STREAM AREAS. What a crazy week in heavy rain and severe wx!!

Late spring snow- More snow has been falling over the Northern parts of the Plains. Wet snow of 2 inches to as much as 2 feet of the snow is possible over the next 36 hours. As of 11pm EST Friday night Forestburg,SD was reporting a heavy 15 inches of snow with an addtion 1-3 inches is likley. A blizzard warning is in effect until 2pm CDT Saturday. THIS IS A HEAVY WET SNOW SO IF YOU Have heart problems please stay away from shoveling and stay in side. Some thundersnow upgraded snowfall amounts last night. You could see more of that today during the day. In Central and NORTHERN MN will pick up an additional 2-4 inches easily. This will move a litte more east from the eastly flow and will deliver a light coating off wet snow and ice.

LONG range comments-A strong boundrey system will come out of the west by Tuesday and will bring some snow/rain showers there. It will have an effect on the Midwest as there is a chance of an major outbreak for APRIL 30- MAY 2ND in the Midwest. This has a possiblilty of an major severe storm system and heavy rainfall totals. This storm has a bunch of uncertainty stats so i will keep you updated when more on this storm comes clear. Here is the SPC map for the long range storm

weekend comments/EQ IN MIDWEST/stormy week ahead

This weekend ended up being a moderate severe weather event by delivering about 80 reports of large hail, heavy damaging wind gust and even a dozen or so tornadoes over the weekend. All the action started late Thursday night and Friday when i was in DC! Storms broke out where 19 reports of severe weather came in. Including 1 tornado over the SC/NC BORDER. On saturday it was a little more widespread rain event but not much in the way of severe weatehr as only 12 reports came flying in from over 3 other states.Where 2 brieft tornadoes touched down in NC and large hail up to half dollar sized fell over scattered areas. Next is Sunday where the worst storms of the weekend popped up and brought a mixture of all kinds of severe threatning weather occured over 5 diffrent states where there were a total of 77 reports came in with 9 reports being tornado reprots. There could of been a possible EF-1 tornado that damaged houses and trailers as north as Maryland. Also large hail was also falling in widespread areas and a record damaging winds of 90 MOH at times was recorded. Look for more of a widespread severe threat everyday this week where a biggie could happen Thursday-Saturday

Stormy weather wasnt the only thing that happened Friday. An earthquake magnitude 4.6 and 5.2 developed from Indiana all the way down to Alabama border. Minor damage was reported in Mount Camel,IL and in isolated portions of Illinois. Indiana was reporting minor damage as well when local doppler radar indicated 2 earthquakes that touched down. Around 1240 AM early monday morning another earthquake developed in about the same areas this time it was an magnitude of 4.3-4.5 where limited property damaged was very minor. Could this be signs to come for more earthquakes?

Now more about the expected rainy and severe outbreak week. A slow moving storm will begin monday night and will become a on/off event thru wednesday. Monday night and Tuesday it should be very damp thru the central plains but there should be no excessive and additional heavy rainfall. But there is still a slim chance of severe isolated storms but not to widespread. A couple of watches/warnings of severe weather is already posted for NORTHERN OK, AND MUCH OF KS. So what to expect for your Monday night commute will be showery in central-southern plains but dry for your commute in much of the North and South East. For your tuesday it will be a weary/wet/damp day in the central US but if you live in the Northeast expect another dry humid and sunny calm day!!! Here are my maps for Monday night and Tuesday!

ACTIVE WEATHER WEEK AHEAD!

Over the next week there will be a very active week. Several heavy rain and severe storm chances are very well likley the next 7 days. One storm will be affecting the Central US late Monday night and tuesday where some rain and thunderstorms are possible. That storm will be a lack of moisture and break up a bit. The next chance of a heavier rain and storm system will be on Wednesday. That storm could produce some flooding rain and isolated storms from the Southern plains to the Ohio Valley. Some rivers that are still high will increase a additional foot or so with this very storm that will be a quick mover. Before this storms heads out of the sea early Wednesday night another storm system comes out of the rockies and goes into the central us. The biggie of them all will arrive Thursday-Saturday that will bring a better chance of flooding rain and a possible severe weather outbreak that could bring some more hail and tornadoes reports. Although this storm doesnt have enough certainty yet i will keep updating you when and if there are changes to these storms. Stay tuned to this very expected active severe weather week!! I will have my outlook map for the week of storms later!

WINTER IS BACK- The Western US is back in wintry mode. This will not be a huge snowstorm but enough to cause alot of delays, and cancellations of airports and interstates. Some places in Montana will see between 5-7 inches where most of the otehr areas will recieve only 2-4 inches. The major snowstorm will be out of the US and be in Canada. Another notice of this storm is that it will be an wet heavy snow and it will be very heavy to shovel most people in those areas should take caution of that. It seems like to be February in the west!!

LATE WEEK STORM UPDATE

945 PM THURSDAY NIGHT

During today's afternoon hours the cap broke opened and it produced several heavy thunderstorms. Most of tonight's storms threat will be a large hail and strong wind of 80 MPH is likley. Dont rule out a few tornadoes overnight. The storms will be strechting from TEXAS TO MISSOURI. Rainfall of 1-3 inches is expected by Friday night. This storm will continue to move east.

Friday forecast is scheduled to be an very active day across the Midwest. Squall lines of severe storms and 1-2 inch rains will be very widespread through the day. While in the South Central states will get very strong storms that will be capable of producing baseball sized hail 60-80 MPH WINDS and some tornadoes is also possible. It will get slower and slower and produce a more possibilty of flooding rains throguh frdiay night. Another note for the storm is there could be enough sun visabilty to have more severe storms across the Ohio Valley.

Saturday heavy rain and isolated storms move into the Pittsburgh Metro Area and bring some more unneeded rain to the region. At this moment there is a chance for some moderate flooding. Everything will move east into the Deep Mid-Atlantic by sunday and bring them some rain and isolated thunder showers with some pea sized hail not out of the question.

i will update u guys later enjoy ur weekend

early spring snowstorm quick long range notes

A early spring winter storm is developing across the northern plains. Track is forming to be from FARGO ND,TO THE U.P. OF MICHIGAN. Most accums of 2-4 inches is possible with a narrow long band of 4-10 inches is possible. The souther you in MICHIGAN the more chance of a rain/snow mix to rain. If you live in central MI watch for a rain/snow/icy mix to a heavy wet snow of 2-6 inches of snow and if u lvie in NORTHERN MICHIGAN YOU WILL GET THE MOST OF 5-8 INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE BY MONDAY MORNING. Watch for Late sunday evening for blinding snow in the Minneapolis area. I will have a maop on this storm a little later based on my predictions. Also one more thing is watch for major flooding in those areas next week as a heavy snowpack melts due to heavy rains and warm temps.

LONG RANGE- there looks to be another spring like soaker coming on wenesday APRIL 9th THRU April 12th with more major flooding i will give you more information when this storm is mroe clear to forcast.

ANOTHER comment on longrange is a small clipper syestem that may make its way thru chicago to boston but tis to long to see if it brings any accum or the track of the storm or even if the storm is going to happen it looks like just a coating- about 2-3 inches of late snow possible but again its not close in dates yet
